Elton Travis Jaggars, 78, of Appomattox, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Cherrie Wade Jaggars.

Born in Ramer, TN, he was the son of the late William Wilkins Jaggars and Grace Meeks Jaggars. He was a member of Freedom Word Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Jeffrey Lee Jaggars and wife, JoAnne of Missouri, Karena Suzanne Jaggars Cox and husband, Lee of Pamplin, Richard Brent Jaggars and wife, Heather of Gretna, and Christopher Daniel Jaggars and wife, Ashley of Lynchburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Wansfell Jaggars, Ronald Jaggars and wife Mary, and Janice Brewer and husband, Kelley all of Ramer, TN.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Walker Hudson, and a brother, Don Jaggars.

A funeral service will be held 10 am, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Freedom Word Church with Pastor Greg Mayhorn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
