Ellis "Dave" McKinley Davis, 70, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Lynchburg General Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Born in Clayton, Alabama, November 11, 1936, he was the son of the late James Walter and Dovie Martin Davis. He was married 48 years to Betty Jean Davis, and from that union God blessed them with five children. Ellis was a retired building engineer/mechanic having 30 years of service with the F.B.I. He was an active member and deacon for Fort Washington Baptist Church, Fort Washington Maryland.
In addition to his wife he leaves to cherish his memory two sons Michael McKinley Davis, Fort Washington MD., Kenneth Dewayne Davis and fiancé Melissa Taylor, Thurmont MD.; three daughters, Karen Faye Baker and her husband Brad, Pamplin, Jean Marks and her husband Charles, Bryans Road, MD., Juanita Joan Quattrociocchi and her husband Mario, Port Tobacco, MD.; one brother Robert Davis, Eufaula, AL.; one sister-in-law Florene Guess, Athens, AL.; five grandchildren Ryan Davis, Pamela Baker, Mandy Marks, Julie Davis, and Connie Quattrociocchi, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with be held at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert E. Lee at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2007. Burial will follow in the Piney Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007.
