Ellen Jane Mann Seamster, 72 of Lindsey Lane, Appomattox entered her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 13, 2016. She was the loving wife of Doug Seamster for 54 years.
Ellen was born in Lynchburg March 28, 1943 a daughter of the late Virginia Jarrells and Raymond Edward Mann. She was a life-long member of Liberty Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday school and was a retired employee of the Appomattox Dairy Queen with 28 year's service. Ellen received a lung transplant in 2003 which gave her 13 more years of life.
In addition to her husband, Doug; she is survived by her daughter, Cindy S. Phelps; two sisters, Dorothy M. Fleshman and husband, Gary and Myrna M. Doss; a grandson, Tristan M. Phelps all of Appomattox; brother-in-law, Dan Seamster of Pamplin and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Doss and a sister-in-law, Shirley Seamster.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 16, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Daniel Dockery and Pastor Paul Kvasnicka. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of her sister, Myrna, 1232 Confederate Blvd.
