Obituary
Ellen Miles Cunningham, 84, of Dunn St., Amelia, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Chippenham Medical Center.
Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, March 24, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Carroll and Grace Hirst Miles. She was a member of Farmville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ellen was a retired register nurse and following her retirement she was an administrator for a child care center in Amelia.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Leon E. and Elizabeth Miles of Pamplin; 12 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Elton Miles and a sister, Mrytie Paige.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 12, 2009, in Farmville Seventh Day Adventist Church by Pastor Filmore Heavner and Pastor Herb Breckle. Burial will follow at 6:00 pm, in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, VA.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from noon until 1:45 pm.
