Elizabeth Vassar Williamson, 87, of Red House, died Monday, May 21, 2007 in Henrico Doctors Hospital. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Franklin Williamson.
Born in Lunenburg County, October 17, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Ellie Moore Vassar. Elizabeth was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Louise Williamson of Monroe; two grandchildren, Richard Lee Williamson of Bumpass and Kimberley Renee Jennings of Richmond; three great grandchildren, Brittany Williamson, Haley Williamson, and Cristin Jennings; one great-great grandson, Zack Rice and many nieces and nephews including, Ronnie Hamlett of Lynchburg, Aubrey Hamlett Jr. of Madisonville, Wesley Hamlett of Pamplin, and Barbara Dunnevant of Cullen.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Atwood, Clyde, and Grayson and two sisters, Laura and Juanita.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Union Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Anthony Reeves with burial following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Friday, May 25, from 7-8:30 p.m.
