Elizabeth Wilson Ramsey, 56, of Eldon Rd, Appomattox, died Wednesday June 30, 2010, at her residence. She was the wife of Wayne Ramsey, Sr. Born in Appomattox County, December 26, 1953, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late Dorothy Kress and Daniel M. Wilson, Sr. She was a former employee of Super 8 Motel in Appomattox.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons, Jesse Hernandez, III, and his fiancée, Lenna, of Lynchburg; Larry Hall, and his wife Davina, of Madison Heights, Del Ramsey, Jr., and his fiancée, Heather, of Appomattox; one daughter, Dorothy Bryant, of Lynchburg; two brothers, Samuel Wilson, of Lynchburg; and Floyd Wilson, and his wife Barbara, of Rustburg; three sisters, Betty Kershner, of Evergreen; Shirley Johnson, and her husband, Jesse, of Appomattox, Frances Green, of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Christina Hernandez, Cynthia Paulette, Justin Bryant, Cadence Hall,; one great-granddaughter, Ava Blazer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Daniel Wilson, two sisters, Vivian McFadden, Ella Carter, and a grandson, Devin Wayne Bryant.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Hospice of the Hills of Farmville, and to Rose, Robyn, and Beverly.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the Church of God of Prophecy, Plain Run Road, Appomattox, with the Rev. Gary Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
