Edward Edmund Lauter, 49, of Little Dogwood Rd., Spout Spring, VA, died Monday, November 4, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of April Hoelz Lauter.
Born in Thanet, Margate, England, on December 3, 1963, he was a son of the late Alma Barker and John Lauter. He worked as a welder for Hoelz Welding Services, Norfolk Shipyard, Thomasville Furniture, Delta Star, Englander Stove Company, and Courtland Manufacturing.
In addition to his wife, April, he is survived by three children, Amanda Kimberly Hill, Stella Rose Lauter, and John-Bruce Edward Lauter all of Spout Spring; a soon-to-be grandson, Bruce Edward Allen Dow; three sisters, Carol A. Lauter of Madison Heights, Louise A. Williams and husband, Travis of Pamplin, and Adele L. Counts and husband, Bruce of Newport News; and three brothers by choice, Donald Lewis, Greg Wingate, and Ralph Butler.
The family would like to express their gratitude to his caregivers, Terry Lewis, Annjannette Boni, and Jesse Southern.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday and other times at the residence.
