Obituary
Earl Randolph "Rand" Hall, 83, was born in Appomattox County, Va., on March 8, 1932 and died January 19, 2016, at his residence.
Rand was raised from an infant by his grandparents, John C. and Virginia S. Hall. In addition to his grandparents he was preceded in death by his mother, Mable Johnson; a half-brother, Bobby Stanley; adopted son, Michael A. Manis; and his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Doss Hall.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Hall of Appomattox and two special friends, Barbara Mann and Debbie Hodge of Appomattox.
Rand served in the U. S. Navy, retired from Lynchburg Foundry, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, in Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1022 Commerce Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 836, Appomattox, VA 24522.
