Dwight Berckley Meadows, 53, of Sunnymeade Road, Rustburg, died Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, and brother.
Born in Lynchburg, VA., on April 23, 1962, he is the son of Carolyn Goad Meadows of Lynchburg, and Ramsey T. Meadows of Hurt. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. He was an auto body technician for Lacks Auto Service and a car enthusiast.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Cook Meadows; a daughter, Lindsey Meadows and husband, David Flowers of Rustburg; two sisters, Darlene M. Stratton and husband, Daniel of Concord and Stephanie D. Crist and husband, Rusty of Madison Heights; father-in-law, Linnie Cook; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Cook, Carolyn and Bobby Wade, Robert Cook, Kathy Cook, and Ricky and Vonda Cook all of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rex T. Meadows and his mother-in-law, Mary P. Cook.
Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Clearview Baptist Church by Rev. Zane Kramer, Rev. Terry Cook, and Rev. Ernest Carey Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Clearview Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
