Dorothy Louise Ware, 84, of Powhatan passed away on Sunday March 26, 2023, at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late James Richard Ware, Sr.

Born in Pennsylvania on May 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. Wright and Mable Alberta Rhodes Wright.

She is survived by four children, Keith Wright of Appomattox, JoAnn Arrington and husband, William of Powhatan, Debbie Harris and husband, Eugene of Sutton, West Virginia, and James Ware, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Sutton, West Virginia; one sister, Reba Booth of Fawn Grove Pennsylvania; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Bill, and Luke Wright; and four sisters, Helen, Reba, Betty and Florence.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Friday, March 31, 2023, at Piganowski Family Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Reeves officiating.
