DOROTHY ANN "DORIS" WAGNER WOOTEN KINCHEN
APPOMATTOX; Doris Wooten Kinchen, 86, died March 18, 2006 at Appomattox Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Burford C. Kinchen.
Born May 24, 1919 in Buckingham Co., she was a daughter of the late Frank William and Zine Turner Wagner. Doris was a member of Union Baptist Church, Buckingham County and retired from Appomattox Garment Company.
She is survived by four children, George P. Wooten and his wife Mary, Connie W. Gobble and her husband Wayne, all of Appomattox, Matthew L. (Buck) Wooten and his wife Brenda, Spout Spring, and Dorothy W. Clements and her husband Charles, Madison Heights, daughter-in-law, Mae Wooten, Appomattox; two sisters Ruby Thomas, Appomattox and Myrtle Witt, Appomattox; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by a son, Carl Edward Wooten, a brother, Clarence Wagner and two sisters, Elise Harris and Margaret Faulkner.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 21, 2006, in New Hope Baptist Church, by the Rev. Ronnie Rogers with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Monday from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the home of her daughter, Connie.
