Dorothy Opal Dwyer Tuck, 90, of Vermillion Rd., Appomattox, died Sunday, November 10, 2013, in The Carrington. Born in Cambridge, Kansas, on September 3, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Lucille Minnie Rambo and Otis W. Dwyer.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna C. and Gerald Kerley of Appomattox; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald R. and Tonna Rice of Midland, TX; a sister, Evelyn Kesei of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Tiffany A. Hand, Jennifer L. Hanzel, Emilee E. Fox, and Geoffrey S. Rice; eight great-grandchildren, China M. Madrigal, Brittney T. Rice, Bailey N. Rider, Justin C. Scarrow, Jerod R. Scarrow, Kayden R. Sikes, Camden J. Anderson, Jaylee Anderson; and one great-great grandchild, Zarek I. Madrigal.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger B. Rice and Glenn W. Tuck; two grandchildren, Christi A. Gamble and Cesily L. Rice; and a sister, Lavonda Buckholdt.
She was a member of the Appomattox Assembly of God.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. Rodney Blank. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m., Saturday morning prior to the service.
