Obituary

Dorothy Louise Peck Crews, 79, of Evington, VA passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Samuel Lacy Crews of Appomattox.

Born on May 1, 1945, in Clover, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Lewis Peck and Hallie Seamster Peck.

She is survived by four children, Richard Lewis Crews of Appomattox, Thomas Samuel Crews of Evington, Hattie Frances Crews Bobbey of Evington, and William Lee Crews and wife, Vicki of Knoxville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Jessica Ham and husband, Marcus, Emily Samantha Crews, Samuel David Bobbey, Katherine Nicole Bobbey, Kayla Leigh Crews Dahn, Amber Marie Crews, Zander Thomas Samuel Crews, and Virginia Lani Crews; six great-grandchildren, Junior, Lilly, Larissa, Aiden, Finn, and Vivian; and one sister, Joyce Estelle Peck of Charlottesville, Va.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Lewis Crews, Jr.; four sisters, Lillie Martin, Betty Jean Brown, Pauline Peck, and Barbara Ann Peck; and two brothers, Lewis Hester Peck and Eddie Lee Peck.

A funeral service will be held 11 am, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert E. Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm, Friday, August 9, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home.
