Dorothy "Dot" Pearson Webb, 91, of Toga, died peacefully at her residence. She and her husband, the late O.J. Webb shared a life together for 62 years.
Born on July 16, 1921 in Buckingham Co., she was a daughter of the late Mary Morgan and Hal Thornton Pearson. She was a longtime member of Antioch/Union Baptist Church and was owner/operator of Webb's Grocery along with being co-owner/operator of Pearson's Plants, all located in Toga.
She is survived by her daughter, Kaye W. Cowan, Buckingham; Grandson, Allen Cowan, Richmond; Sister, Dell Paschen, Buckingham; Son-in-Law, Frank A. Cowan, Kitrell, NC; Sisters-in-Law, Jackie Pearson, Buckingham and Mae Wright, Rustburg; Brothers-in-Law, Ronald Webb and his wife Lois, Forest and Gordon Webb, Chester; Nieces, Lynn Perkins and her husband David, Buckingham, Vickie English and her husband Rodney, Appomattox and Anne Mills, Danville; Nephews, Jay Pearson, Richmond, Curtis Pearson and his wife, Kristie, Appomattox; Great Nieces, Taylor Mills, Sarah, Addie and Ella Pearson; Great Nephews, Chad and Ryan Perkins, Matthew English and Harrison Pearson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Harry Pearson, and two sisters, Nell Snoddy and Marie LeGrand.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, April 1, 2013 at Union Baptist Church by the Rev. Jennings Duncan with burial to follow in the Pearson Family Cemetery, Toga. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and other times at her residence.
