Appomattox – Dorothy Love Morris, of Fleshman Street, died Saturday night November 17, 2007 in Lynchburg general Hospital. She was the wife of Jesse Eugene Morris.
Dorothy was born in Appomattox Co., VA a daughter of the late Carolyn Revell and John Linwood Love. She was a retired employee of Courtland Manufacturing Co, and a member of Liberty Baptist Church
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Lynn Allen Smith and his wife, Sabrina of Gladstone; daughter-in-law, Dr. Dawn Rigney of Charlottesville; sister-in-law, Betty Faison and her husband, Wilma, of Waverly; 7 Grandchildren, Marcia Wilson, Laura Leigh, John Rigney, Juli Rigney, Alex Rigney, Stacie Lynn Smith and Larson Andrew Smith; 4 great-grandchildren, Robert Garland Wilson, Kaitlin Leigh, Tristan Leigh and Aidan Leigh.
She was preceded in death by a son LTC M. Garland Rigney, JAG Corp., Brother and sister-in-law, John Linwood Love, Jr. and Lillian S. Love, and two sisters, Emily and Mildred.
Graveside funeral services will be held in Liberty Cemetery on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. by Dr. Robert Alderman, Rev. John Muth and Rev. Odell Coggins.
Friends and family are welcome to visit at the home.
