Dorothy Lucille Prestele Cordani, 92, of Country Club Rd., Appomattox, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Washington, DC, on August 22, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Albert Edward Prestele and Mary Adelaide Nash Prestele. She was a member of St. Annes' Episcopal Church and the St. Anne's E. C. W.

She is survived by two sons. Robert A. Cordani and wife, Nancy of Oak Ridge, TN and Roger L. Cordani and wife, Bonnie of Flint Hill, VA; five daughters, Sherlene Henry and husband, Paul of Bealeton, VA, Lucille Fillingame and husband, Gordon of Moneta, Joanne Faunce and husband, William of Warrenton, Marlene Kelly and husband, Frank of Barboursville, VA, and Teresa Bryant of Appomattox; two sisters, Patricia (Patsy) Chambers of Fredrick, MD and Jacqueline (Jackie) Miller of Ellsworth, ME; a sister-in-law, Margaret Prestele of Waldorf, MD; 23 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, in St. Annes' Episcopal Church by the Rev. Mike Ferguson followed by a reception at the church. The family will receive visitors at other times at the residence. She and her husband will be inurned at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
