Doris M. Martin

Appomattox: Doris Mayberry Martin, 62, of 253 Lakeview Rd., died Saturday afternoon, May 6, 2006 at her residence. She was the wife of Robert Harris Martin, Sr.
Born December 29, 1943 in Appomattox Co., she was a daughter of the late Hunter and Bessie Cyrus Mayberry. Doris was a member of Reedy Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World. She also was a homemaker and a beautician.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Mark and Lynn Martin, Evington, Keith and Amy Martin and Terry and Cindy Martin all of Appomattox; eight grandchildren, Maranda Gill, Cory, Ryan, Tyler, Casey, Chandler, Jordan and Olivia Martin; her sister, Phyllis M. Smith and a brother Norman H. (Jimmy) Mayberry and his wife Carolyn, all of Appomattox.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robby Martin.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 9, 2006 from Reedy Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. John Muth and Rev. Robert E. Lee, Jr. with burial following in Concord Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Keith and Amy Martin, 2242 Oakville Rd. (Rt. 26) Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
