Doris Wilson Harvey 94 of Appomattox passed away on December 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Appomattox County, Virginia on July 23, 1931. She was the daughter of Rhomy and Pearl Ranson Wilson. She was an active member of Evergreen United Methodsit Church where she served on numerous committees. She retired from Appomattox County school system after 28 years, where she worked in the school cafeteria and finished her career at the middle school as the cafeteria manager.
She survived by her husband of 72 years William Albert Harvey; three children, Donald Harvey and wife, Cheryl, Ronald Harvey and wife, Robin of Appomattox, and Diann H. Pickett and husband, Todd of Pamplin; grandchildren, Justin Harvey and wife, Shana of Appomattox, Blaine Harvey and wife, Crystal of Richmond, Corey Harvey and wife, Hannah of Appomattox, Logan Harvey and wife, Megan of Appomattox, Chandler Harvey and wife, Alexa of Appomattox, Danielle Jennings and husband, Joshua of Lynchburg, and Gabrielle Pickett and Kye Leake of Appomattox; great-grandchildren, Pierson Harvey, Brylan Harvey, Laikan Harvey, Tilley Harvey, Madelyn Jennings, Hayden Harvey, Michael Jennings, Matthew Jennings, Mason Jennings, Halle Harvey, Benson Harvey, Sadie Leake, Logan, Ellison Harvey, Kanen Leake, Emerson Harvey, and Bodie Harvey; sister-in-law, Ida Belle Campbell; and many nieces, nephew and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Evergreen United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Eric Hernandez. The burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Monday December 22, 2025, from 6-8pm and other times at the residence, 102 Trent Hatchery Road, Appomattox.
The family would like to thank her caregiver Teresa Hastings for her loving care.
