Dorene Ann Buckles, 83, of Concord, died Thursday, April 6, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Larry M. Buckles, Sr.

Born in Kern, California, December 21, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Irene Benson Baum and Donald Baum.

She is survived by her son, Larry M. Buckles, Jr., of Concord; one brother, John Baum and wife, Paula; one sister, Mary Baum all of California; three grandchildren, Katelyn Buckles of Richmond, Stormy Buckles and Jeremy Buckles both of Concord; one great-grandchild, Kenneth Jones, III; and her best friend, Joyce Marie of Lynchburg.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gailen Buckles; and a grandson, Michael Buckles.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2023, at Tree of Life Cemetery, with Rev. Joyce Marie officiating.
