March 24, 1957 - May 9, 2025

Doreen A. Parsons, 68, of Appomattox, VA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9, 2025, at her residence.

Born in Winsted, CT, on March 24, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Freda Hoxie and Clifford Hoxie. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School in Winsted Connecticut. Doreen loved her church family and attended Red Oak Baptist Church of Oakville, VA. She married the love of her life, Bob Parsons Sr. on June 21, 1980. Doreen was a hard worker all her life and finally landed her dream job of working with children at Methodist Daycare until she retired. She enjoyed rides and walks with the love of her life, Bob, and enjoyed music, thrifting, crocheting, scrapbooking, and being with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Parsons, Sr.; one stepson, Bob Parsons Jr. (Shauna); two stepdaughters, Jessica Bromley (Ray) and Robin Parsons; one sister, Donna Hall (David); three brothers, Dane Hoxie (Susan), Cliff Hoxie (Bobbie), Clinton Hoxie (Theresa); her beloved grandchildren, Dalton, Aaron, Tori, Emily, Red, Timmy, Mariah, Karissa, Tasha; great grandchildren, Everleigh, Delainey, Dylan Jr., Greyson, Oliver, Camryn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister-in-law, Jerri Hoxie, mother-in-law; her brother, Frank Hoxie; grandson-in-law, Bradley Kidd Jr.; and great granddaughter, Braelynn Kidd.

A celebration of life will be held at Red Oak Baptist Church on May 24th, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a gathering immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
