Donna Allen Pankey, 66, of Walnut Circle, Appomattox, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her residence. She was the wife of Robert Earl Pankey.

Born in Blacksburg, Va., on September 21, 1949, she was the daughter of Claudine Hubbard Fox of Lynchburg and the late Howard Slusser Allen. She was an active member of Memorial United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and playing the hand bells. She was retired from Foster Electric. During their retirement, Donna and Robert traveled to all 50 states and most of Canada. They enjoyed the many friendships they developed while camping at the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach throughout the years.

In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by two children and their spouses, D. "Mark" and Cathy Scott of Amherst and Dawn S. and Troy M. Utz of Forest; three granddaughters, Ashley Dawn Scott, Danielle Brooke Utz, and Kacie Morgan Utz; two step-grandchildren, Meagan Utz and Joshua Utz; a brother, H. "Wayne" Allen and wife, Jan of Rustburg; and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at Memorial United Methodist Church by Rev. Russell Cheatham. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
