Obituary

Donna Jean "Sissy" Martin Maddox, 50, of Pamplin, died Friday morning, March 28, 2014 at her residence. She was the wife of the late David Ray Maddox.

Donna was born in Lynchburg, July 16, 1963, a daughter of Betty Goin Martin of Appomattox and the late James Haywood Martin. She was a member of Appomattox Baptist Temple and the former manager of Stop-In Food Store #63.

She is survived by two sons, Brian Ray Maddox and wife, Stacy of Pamplin; James Howard Maddox and wife, Amber of Buckingham; two brothers, Jimmy Dean Martin and wife, Carol of Gladstone, Wesley Thompson Martin and wife, Wendy of Appomattox; two sisters, Wanda M. Bohannon and husband, James of Spout Spring, Crystal M. Kidd and husband, Brad of Appomattox, a grandson, Landon Maddox; her boyfriend and caregiver, William "Pee Wee" Rhodes of Pamplin and her beloved dog, "Shaggy".

The family wishes to convey heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lockridge, Dana, Mary Gail and Centra Hospice Farmville for their care and concern for Donna and her family.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 31, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Paul Kvasnicka. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service until 9:00 P.M.
