Donald C. "Donnie" Moore, 77, of Gladstone, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020.  He was the husband of the late Helen Martin Moore.

Born in Appomattox County, April 21, 1943, he was a son of the late Vera Kern and Aubrey I. Moore.  Donnie was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.  He retired from G.E. with 38 years of service having worked as a machinist, electrical assembler, and sheet metal worker.  Donnie considered himself a beef cattle producer. In addition to cattle farming, he raised tobacco until 1983.

He is survived by three children, Donald Kevin Moore and wife, Sheila of Gladstone, Dana Taylor and husband, Richard of Chesapeake and Nicole Blankenship and husband, Lee of Madison Heights; 12 grandchildren, Dylan Lewis, Mitchell Lewis, Jonathon Moore, Charles Mayberry, Jr., Jessica Mayberry, Monica Moore, Celina Olivarez, Ruben Olivarez, Brandon Ferguson, Richard Taylor, Jr., Caden Blankenship and Noah Blankenship; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Audrey Mayberry; a sister, Jane Nash; and brother-in-law, Richard Nash.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Martin Family Cemetery with Rev. Randolph Martin officiating.

The casket will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Robinson Funeral Home for friends to view Donnie.
