Dolores Dinkins Cheatham, 79, of Spout Spring, died Friday, October 20, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Robert Miles "Bobby" Cheatham.

Born in Lynchburg, January 14, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Leone McFaden Dinkins and James Abram Dinkins.  Dolores was a member of Reedy Spring Baptist Church. She worked 25 years for the Amelia Dress Company as a timing engineer, then worked for Kroger as a Front-End Manager.

She is survived by three children, Charlotte Cheatham of Spout Spring, Carolyn Muniz and husband, Hector of Stafford and Jimmy Cheatham of Spout Spring; one sister, Karen Dinkins and husband, David Spencer of Roanoke; one brother, Gary Dinkins and wife, Pat of Tyler, TX; one granddaughter, Heather; two great-grandchildren, Tay and Dee; aunt, Linda Wood of Lynchburg; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalia D. Ballowe.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Reedy Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home.
