Dewey Wayne Claybrook, 66, of Concord, died Friday, June 28, 2024.  He was the loving husband of Donna Harris Claybrook for 41 years.

Born in Lynchburg, May 17, 1958, he was the son of Joselene Joy Claybrook Carson and the late Dewey Franklin Claybrook.  He was a graduate of Hampden Sydney College and the College of William and Mary.  Wayne was an avid hunter, loved his church and spending time with his family and the many years he worked at Progress Printing Company.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, Elder and started the AWANA program.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Scott Hunter Claybrook and wife, Jennifer of Spout Spring and Frank Lawson Claybrook and wife, Jennifer of Appomattox; a beloved gramps to five grandchildren, Emma, Parker, Mattie, Claire and Bailey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
