Dennis Harmond Porterfield, 75, of Lynchburg, died at his residence on January 11, 2022. He was the husband of Lou Moore Porterfield.

Born on October 1, 1946, in Ashland, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Elsie May Doss Porterfield and John Henry Porterfield. Dennis worked as a machinist at B & W until he retired. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1727.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Ronnie Porterfield of Lynchburg, and Walter Porterfield of Winfall.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie P. May, and a brother, Johnny Porterfield.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the residence with a visitation to follow.
