Dennis Gene Clarkson, of Newport News left this world in a tragic accident on October 26, 2024.

Born on November 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Marguerite Gilliam and Frank Walton Clarkson. Dennis was very outgoing and loved people, especially those in his neighborhood. They were so good to him. He was a teacher and a pastor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Dean Clarkson and a sister, Betty Sue Clarkson

Dennis is survived by a niece, Jennifer Ann Clarkson of Buena Vista.

He will be buried at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
