Delsie Riley Harrup, 95, of Pamplin, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Liberty Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late James Matthew Harrup.

Born in Cismont, September 8, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Willie Ann Kirby and Sidney Riley. Delsie attended Spring Creek Baptist Church. She was involved in many activities at Liberty Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. Delsie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by six children; James D. Mawyer and wife, Judy, Dolores A. Brundage and husband, David, Edward E. Harrup and wife, Wendy, Mary H. Carwile, Barbara H. Presley and husband, Jeff and James M. Harrup, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Rose Mawyer; one sister, Mary R. Price; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many, many great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; along with several little ones she cherished as her own.

She was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Roger W. Mawyer; a grandson, Benjamin Lee Mawyer, a great-granddaughter, Violet Carwile; a daughter-in-law, Laurel Mawyer; three brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday August 4, 2018 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Friday August 3, 2018 at Robinson Funeral Home.
