Delores Ann Moon, 76, of Lynchburg, died Friday, September 6, 2024, in Lynchburg Health and Rehab.

Born in Lynchburg, VA, on June 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Moon and Virginia Ellen Childress Moon Kress.

She is survived by a son, Harold Lee Moon; three grandchildren, Rosie Moon, Sterling Moon, and Cody Moon; three sisters, Teresa Jennings, Virginia "Gini" Kress and husband, Wayne, and Verta Whittaker; a brother, John Thomas Kress; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Betty Crain and a special nephew, Robert Lewis Jennings, III; brother-in-law, Ray Johnson; and special friends, Judy Williams and Becky Wilson, who was like a daughter to her.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Moon, Samuel William Kress, and James Ray Kress; and two sisters, Ella K. Johnson and Janie M. Kress.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rocks Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 7-8:30 pm at Robinson Funeral Home.
