Delores Barr Freihaut, 96, of Appomattox, died Monday, August 28, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Peter Michael Freihaut.

Born in Marion, West Virginia, February 15, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Ruth Olive Mayfield and Sherman Elmer Barr.  Delores was a Dairy Manager and enjoyed being a home health caregiver.

She is survived by one son, Michael Jacob Freihaut and wife, Carol of Appomattox; four grandchildren, Magdalena DeWease of Salisbury, MD, Amber Freihaut of Lynchburg, Trinity Freihaut of Appomattox and Jessica Freihaut of Lynchburg; and two great-grandchildren, Delaney Rodriguez and Jacob DeWease.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Barr and Deforest Barr.
