Delia "Dee" Gray Neathawk, 84, of Concord, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late William (Billy) Edgar Neathawk.
Born in Roanoke, VA on June 30, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Celia Callahan Rae. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Spout Spring Ruritan Club and a former part-time employee of Farmers Bank of Appomattox.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marie N. and Leon Moore of Concord; a son, William Todd Neathawk of Destin, FL; three grandchildren, William Mundy Moore, Mandy Moore and Callan Neathawk; a soon to be great-granddaughter, Carrington; two sisters, Pearl Thomason and her husband, Gerrell of Hendersonville, TN and Pauline Neff and her husband, Roy of Roanoke and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Oakes and Martha Carney.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2013, in Evergreen Burial Park, Roanoke, by the Rev. Russell Cheatham.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 7-8:30 p.m.
