Deborah Gail Smith, 54, of Moonlight Road, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Marsha Smith.
Born in Lynchburg, April 23, 1962 she was a daughter of Patrick Ellen Almond and Charles Alexander Smith. Deborah retired from VDOT as a supervisor, and graduated from ACHS where she played basketball, softball and volleyball throughout her high school years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Joshua Edward Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Marsha Smith of Appomattox; two sisters, Brenda Hawkins of Appomattox and Delores Smith of Madison Heights; one niece, Savanah Keesee; three nephews, Jason Smith, Kevin Hawkins and Christian Foster; and two great-nieces, Madison Smith and Callie Smith.
She was preceded in death by a nephew Ryan Smith and great-nephew Grayson Smith.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Mike and Marsha Smith.
