Deborah Moore Foster

Deborah Moore Foster, 67, of Brookneal, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond. She was the loving wife of Thomas H. “Hughie” Foster Jr.

Born in Lynchburg, VA, on November 25, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Geraldine Martin Metz and the late Burnace Allan Moore. Deborah was a member of Falling River Baptist Church. She loved the ocean, trips and cats; though her greatest love was people. Spending time with her beloved grandson, Dallas, was her favorite pastime. She also enjoyed attending Alabama and Travis Tritt concerts.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Chelsea Moore and fiancé, Austin Creecy, and Brittany Moore Davis and significant other, Thomas Blount; grandson, Dallas Davis; one aunt, Barbara M. Whitehead; sister-in-law, Melissa Carwile and husband, Jason; one brother-in-law, Robert Lawhorn; and six nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Gwendolyn M. Lawhorn.

A funeral will be held at 2 pm, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Falling River Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Nathan Fair. Burial will follow in Hat Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home.
