Obituary
David Lynn Harris, 61, of Knoll Woods Drive, Rustburg, passed away Saturday September 26, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Vicki Ann Harris.
Born in Appomattox County, March 13, 1954, he was a son of June (Jana) Wilmouth of Appomattox and the late Wallace Harris. He was an employee of Schewels Furniture for over 20 years.
In addition to his wife, mother and step-father, Robert Wilmouth, he is survived by five children, Joseph D. Harris of Richmond, Matthew T. Harris of Madison Heights, Michael L. Nance, and Cybil, Jason P. Nance and Heather, Megan N. Hendricks and David all of Lynchburg; three brothers, Butch Harris and Barbara of Spout Spring, Mike Harris and Pat of Richmond, Bobby Harris and Jane of Appomattox; one sister, Becky Tilson and Mac of McKinney; 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Harris.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Harris Family Cemetery 1078 North Creek Road, Appomattox, with the Rev. Tom Walker officiating.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother.
