Daivd John Dearolph, 70, died Thursday, December 5, 2024.

Born in Pensacola, FL, on March 20, 1954, he was the eldest son of the late Patricia Jean Shirey and Captain David Edwin Dearolph, US Navy (Retired). After graduation from Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Virginia, David attended the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA and ultimately retired after a 40-year career with Norfolk Southern.

He is survived by a sister, Dianne Elaine Carman  and husband, James of Fairfax, VA; two brothers, Douglas James Dearolph and wife, Pris of Augusta, GA and Daniel Jacob Dearolph and wife, Debbi of Orlando, FL; 9 nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews; a uncle, Edward Augustus Dearolph of Atlanta, GA; an Aunt, Beverly Passaro and husband, Ralph of Butler, PA; and numerous cousins.
