David Leslie Covington, 49, of Appomattox, died suddenly on January 30, 2009.
Born in Danville, January 31, 1959, he was the son of John Leslie and Lorene P. Covington, of Appomattox. In addition to his parents, he will be missed by his three children, Richard and his wife Brittany of Fishersville, John and Amanda Covington, both of Appomattox. He was the proud grandfather of one grandson, Carter Ryan Covington, of Fishersville. He was dearly loved by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Butch Cyrus, and Amy and Bob Poole, as well as five nieces and nephews, Kelly, Jacob, Michael, Daniel and Sarah, all of Appomattox.
David was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar and had a true passion for automobiles, but his greatest desire in life was to encourage and make people happy.
The family invites friends and family to attend a memorial celebration of David's life, at 3:00PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Liberty Baptist Church, by the Rev. Rusty Small, the Rev. Robert Wilson and the Rev. Jeff Worley.
The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, at 380 Church Street in Appomattox.

The family appreciates both for their dedication and concern for others in our community.
