Daniel Edward Brennan, 55, of Reedy Spring Rd., Spout Spring, died Monday, February 8, 2010, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Louise Ethridge Brennan.
Born in El Paso, Texas, on January 13, 1955, he was a son of Carolyn Bahney Brennan Floyd of Jamestown, TN and the late Henry Edward Brennan. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, employed by the City of Lynchburg, and taught motorcycle safety classes at CVCC. He and his wife owned and operated L. and D. Flea-N-Tique Market in Thomas Terrace. Dan loved outdoor activities, motorcycles, and all animals especially his cat, DC.
In addition to his wife, Louise and mother, Carolyn he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Floros of State College, PA; step-father, William Floyd; and three nephews, Dimitri, Nikolas, and Donald.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Earl Brennan.
The family wishing to acknowledge the care and concern shown by Dr. Brennan, Dr. Kathleen Paul, and Dr. Jeremy Hardison to Dan during his illness.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm, Friday, February 12, 2010, at Reedy Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. John Muth.
The family will receive friends at the church at 4:00 pm until time of service.
