Clydie Joyner Guill, age 86, of Appomattox, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, in Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk. She was the wife of the late Julian Crafton Guill.

Born in Lynchburg, VA on July 8, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Minnie Lackey and William A. Joyner. Clydie was a member of Grace Hills Baptist Church.

Clydie was the beloved "Mama" to Julia Guill of Palmyra and "Granny" to Adrienne Fleming of Virginia Beach and Heather Fleming of Richmond. She was preceded in death by siblings, William Hickman, Marie Hickman, Belle Dowdy, Billie Manning, and Lee Morris.

Please join us for a celebration of her life at Liberty Baptist Church on Saturday, January 19, at 11:00 a.m. lead by Rev. Rusty Small. To honor Clydie, the family requests cheerful attire and a joyous spirit. A graveside service for the family will be held at Liberty Cemetery on Saturday, January 19, at 9:45 a.m.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m., Friday, January 18, at Robinson Funeral Home.
