Corean Reynolds Davidson, 84, wife of the late James Lyle Davidson, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, in Columbus, OH, her home for 59 years. She was born November 1, 1924, in Appomattox County, a daughter of the late Jesse Herbert and Alice Hagood Reynolds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Andrea Renee Binegar, two brothers, Marvin G. Reynolds and Lonnie C. Reynolds, Sr., and a sister, Katie R. Martin.
She is survived by a son, Steven H. Davidson and wife Gwen of Hope Mills, NC; a daughter, Joanne Schwaigert and husband Rich of Henderson, NV; four grandchildren, Seth and Courtney Davidson of Burton, MI, Andy and Judy Binegar of Tyrone, GA, Jonathan and Lisa Davidson of Skiatook, OK and a special granddaughter, Jami and Tom Meyer of Marysville, OH who were her caregivers; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, and Kate; one brother, Garland H. Reynolds and wife Rita of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Cleo R. Coleman of Lynchburg and Sallie R. Martin of Riner; and two sisters-in-law, Belle R. Megginson of Appomattox and Lucille P. Davidson of Lynchburg.
Corean was an active member of Karl Road Baptist Church in Columbus for over 50 years, where she also enjoyed being a member of the Fidelity Class. She was a wonderful woman and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home in Columbus.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Liberty Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Wilson and Rev. Ron Davidson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
