In Loving Memory of Constance "Connie" Marie (Drew) Coleman

April 26, 1959 – March 6, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Constance "Connie" Marie Drew Coleman, 65, of Appomattox, who was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Malcolm Joel Coleman, Jr., and together, they built a life filled with love, faith, and family.

Born in California on April 26, 1959, Connie was the cherished daughter of the late Marie Edith "Edie" (Drew) Smith and the late Rufus Drew. A devoted Christian, her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, illuminating her path and inspiring her boundless generosity that left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Connie's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three sons, Malcolm Joel "Joey" Coleman III of Appomattox, Jeremy Watkins Coleman of Appomattox, and William Thomas Coleman and his wife Marianna of Plain City, Ohio. She also leaves behind her cherished daughter-in-law, Kimberly Coleman. Connie was the proud grandmother of Kendall, Mac, Daniel, Esther, and eagerly awaited the arrival of her newest granddaughter, Phoebe.

Connie was a loving sister to Brenda Flowers (Calvin), Dawn Schwartz (Dean), of Farmville, and Ronald Drew (Wanda) of Crewe. Her love extended to her nieces and nephews, and she held them all close to her heart. She was preceded in death by her dear niece, Kylie Marie Duggan.

Known for her kind and caring nature, Connie was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support to her family, friends, and community. She lived a life of selflessness and faith, leaving a legacy of love and generosity.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Hollywood Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Will Coleman. She will be laid to rest in the Coleman family cemetery. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Connie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of love and faith will live on in our hearts until we are reunited with her in heaven.
