Clyde Thomas (Bill) McFadden, 61, of Robin Lane, Appomattox, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Appomattox County, April 16, 1947, he was a son of the late Elijah Herbert McFadden and Edith Virginia Ferguson McFadden. Bill was a supervisor for B. E. & K. Steel Erectors and a member of Bethel Bible Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Fitzgerald McFadden and five brothers, Bobby, Ellis, Joseph, Royal, and Herbert Lee McFadden.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra McFadden Tyree and fiancé, Richard Mobley of Appomattox; a son, Shane Thomas McFadden of Pamplin; three sisters, Betty Lucado and husband, Clinton, Pat Elliott and husband, Cleve, and Faye Mayberry; a brother, Herbert A. McFadden; a grandson, Zachary Floyd; two step-sons, David and Gordon and their mother, Frances B. McFadden all of Appomattox and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 23, at Robinson Funeral Home by Rayford Fleshman. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the home of his daughter, Sandra, 5052 Oakville Rd.
