Obituary

Clovis Swanson Anderson, 82, of Farmville, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008. He was twice married; his first wife was the late Doris Baldwin Anderson and his second wife is Frances Slayton Anderson.
Born in Montgomery County, August 1, 1925, he was the son of the late Walter Charles and Louvenia McDaniel Anderson. Swanson was a member of Farmville Christian Church and a retired mechanic for Ford Motor Company in Farmville. He is an Army Veteran of World War II serving in China, Burma, and India and a past commander of the V.F.W. Post #7059.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Paula J. Card and her husband, Bob and two grandsons, Thomas and Jesse Card all of Pamplin.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 7, 2008 in Fairview Christian Church, Lynchburg by the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton and Dr. Don C. Wilson. Burial will follow in Pamplin Community Cemetery at 12:15 pm with military rites accorded by the Honor Guard of American Legion Post #104.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm, today, at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox.
