Clemmie Jane Maxwell Glenn McGhee, 80, of Mt. Pleasant Rd., Pamplin, died Sunday, January 31, 2010, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Appomattox County, on January 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Rose Nickols and Benjamin Maxwell. She was a member of Walkers Presbyterian Church. Clemmie was preceded in death by four husbands, Robert Lee Glenn, Lewis Gobble, Roger Clifford Burks, and Robert Rufus McGhee and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Luther Benjamin Glenn of Pamplin; Lynwood Twyman Glenn and wife, Micki of Madison Heights, and Robert L. Glenn, Jr. and wife, Mona Lisa of Pamplin; three daughters, Janice Lee Glenn Dowdy and husband, John of Pamplin, Rose Inez Glenn Crabtree and husband, Wesley of Utica, KY, and Betty Glenn Reamer and husband, Jerry Lee Reamer, Sr. of Keysville; a brother, Raymond Maxwell of Lynchburg; a sister, Lilly Amos of Farmville and nine grandchildren, Joy, Lauren, J.T. , Jason, Jenny, Jerry Jr., Melissa, Stephanie and Katherine.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, February 4, 2010, in Walkers Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Marina Gopadze with burial following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 7-8:30 pm and other times at the residence.
