Claudia Anita Evans Kress, 64, of Appomattox, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of David C. Kress.

Born in Welch, W.Va., on December 14, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Earmel Evans and Betty Bandy Evans. She worked as a claims associate at Walmart for 10 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, David E. Kress and wife, Michelle of Forest; her three brothers, Danny Evans, Lonnie Evans, and Steven Evans; and numerous loved family members.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Baby Boy Evans.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Robinson Funeral Home with Natalie Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Robinson Funeral Home.
