Clarence Lee Mayberry, 77, of Burleson, Texas, died Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Born in Carroll County, Tenn., on September 30, 1943, he was a son of the late Pauline Norden Mayberry and Roy Braxton Mayberry.
He is survived by his devoted longtime partner, Jo Alice Stoltenberg of Texas; a brother, Joe Neil Mayberry and wife, Edith of Lynchburg; a sister, Annie Mayberry of Forest; and a nephew, Neil B. Mayberry and wife, Melaine and their daughter, Abigail of Aldie.
He was a retired wastewater processor for Rocky Flats in Golden Colorado and a US Army Veteran. He learned to snow ski in the Army and skied for many years. Clarence loved hunting and fishing and was a competitive professional trap shooter. He adored animals, especially his horses. Clarence never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor, enjoying a good prank.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Spout Spring Baptist Church by Rev. Joseph Ferris.
