Clara Phelps "Dot" Ferguson, 79, of Gladstone, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024.  She was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Thomas "Tracy" Ferguson, Sr.

Born in Appomattox County, September 20, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Della Robertson and Carlyle T. Phelps.  Dot was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.  She worked at Appomattox Garment Company.  Dot helped raise many children by babysitting for over 50 years.

She is survived by four children, Herbert "Bucky" Totty, Jr., and wife, Connie, Mark Ferguson and friend, Laura, Lloyd T. Ferguson, Jr., and wife, Susan and Barbara Guthrie and husband, Ronnie; seven grandchildren, Dusty Guthrie and wife, Allison, Cherie Haskins and husband, Timmy, Sarah Ferguson, Blake Totty and wife, Cassidy, R.D. Irvin and wife, Krista, Justin Ferguson and wife, Ashley and Bridgett Martin and husband, Justin; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Taylor and Cora Mae Page and husband, Clyde; three sisters-in-law, Patricia "Pug" Phelps, Dorothy Phelps and Macca Lee Ferguson; brother-in-law, Oral Ferguson and wife, Christine; daughter-in-law, Sherry Hackney Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Ferguson; three brothers, Lyle Phelps, Richard Phelps and Randall "Randy" Phelps; and one sister, Marion Horsley.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Bryant officiating.  Burial will follow in the Phelps Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home.
