Cynthia Yeatts Bollinger, an angel of her Savior and Lord, went to be with Him on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Cindy will be remembered as a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.

Born in Crewe, VA, on October 7, 1953, she was a daughter of Alice Martin and Herman Larry Yeatts of Crewe. Cindy graduated from Nottoway County High School, worked for more than 20 years at Wachovia Bank and retired from the Appomattox County Treasurers Office. She was a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and a pianist for the church. She was a member of United Methodist Women where she served as President several times and served as an officer in the Farmville District United Methodist Women. Cindy was blessed to be part of this loving extended family of the church. She was an officer for Relay for Life and was voted Appomattox County Female Citizen of the year in 2009 for her work with Relay for Life. Additionally, she worked with the Appomattox Women Praying Through Cancer.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 34 years, James (Jim) Bollinger; three children, Beth B. Frady and husband Matt, Robin B. Harvey and husband Ronald, and Phil Bollinger and wife Marci; five grandchildren, Blaine Harvey, Corey Harvey and wife Hannah, Chandler Harvey, Colson Bollinger, and Maggie Bollinger; a great grandchild, Brylan Harvey; niece Courtney Cave and husband Travis; a friend that was as close as a sister, Sharon R. Mobley; and two special little boys that were like grandchildren, Noah and Caleb Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Garry Martin Yeatts.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2013, in Evergreen Baptist Church by the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys and Rev. Paul Kvasnicka. Burial will follow in Evergreen Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dwight Oldham and his excellent staff at the Pearson Cancer Center for everything they did for Cindy; she found each one was a blessing to her and her family and to the Hospice of Farmville and their caregivers, Fay, Mary Gail, and Dana. Special appreciation to Becky Powell for the care she gave Cindy at home.

In lieu of flowers Cindy requests that memorials be made to the Appomattox Relay for Life, c/o Sharon Mobley, 443 Mountain Cut Rd., Appomattox, VA 24522.
