Obituary
Christine Burks Light, 92, of Gladstone, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, in Trinity Missions of Farmville. She was the wife of the late Van Paris Light.
Born in Appomattox County, on April 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Bessie Wright and Josiah S. Burks. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Christine was preceded in death by a son, Van O'Neil Light; a daughter, Norma Elaine Morris; four sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Karen Elaine Deegan, Billy J. Light, Crystal Kennedy, and Vanessa Christine Light; seven great grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Childress. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place 11a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Campground Cemetery, Creamery, W.Va.
