On Sunday, July 16, 2023, Charlotte "Charlie" Marie Wood, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home, at age 77, surrounded by her husband and family.

Charlie was born on April 20, 1946, in Richmond, Va. to Sally Stanley and Eddie Gallimore.

She is survived by her husband, Rubin "Ronnie" Wood; seven children, Bonnie Baldwin, Luther "Bubba" Harris, Jr. (Lori), Theresa King (Ron), Cynthia Hall (Scott), Clifford Wood (Sabrina), Troy Wood, and Tanya Wood; best friend, Carolyn Conner; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and her siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Brian Pope will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home in Appomattox. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg at Noon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
