Charlie Daniel Seamster, 78, of Bowler Creek Road, Pamplin, died, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at The Woodland of Farmville. He was the husband of the late Shirley Jamerson Seamster.

Born in Halifax County, August 21, 1937, he was a son of the late Sudie Grady and Charlie Thomas Seamster. Dan was a member of Elon Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and retired from Babcock and Wilcox. Dan served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an avid supporter of Pamplin Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of Appomattox County Rescue Squad.

He is survived by a son, Timothy Wayne Seamster of Pamplin; one brother Doug Seamster of Appomattox; a sister-in-law, Nancy Jamerson Weiland and husband, Luther of Lynchburg; one niece, Cindy Phelps of Appomattox; and special friends, Eleanor Nash, Irving and Peggy Crump and Barry and Mitzi Letterman.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Daniel Seamster.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. John Campbell and Rev. David Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Pamplin Cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #104 and VFW #9855 combined honor guard.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Robinson Funeral Home.
